Cats or dogs?

One greets you at the door like you've been at war. The other looks up, decides you're acceptable, and goes back to sleep. Humanity has split on this for ten thousand years.

The verdict

It's Dogs. A cat is a roommate; a dog is a relationship.

Cats are the right answer for a lot of lives: apartments, long hours, people who want company without a schedule. They're also funnier, which the dog side never admits.

But the question is which animal is better to share a life with, and dogs are the only ones who think the question is about them. The loyalty, the walks, the face at the door: it's a bond, not an arrangement. Dogs.
